Grand Festival.
THE North Wilton Benevolent Society Will
H hold a grand Festival at the house of
Lewis C. Seymour, (in Bald Hill, so called’)
an the evening of the 25th and 26th Of De-
cember. A meat supper will. be served up on
the evening, in connection with the fancy ta-
ble. The Company will also be entertained
with Vocal Music from the Glee Club. The
avails of this Festival is all applied to benev-
olent purposes only. If the weather should
be stormy on the evening of the 25th, it will

E it known that we, the subscribers, pur-
suant to ‘- Chapter 14, Title 3d of the
Revised Statutes of the State of Connecticut,
entitled of Joint Stock Corporations,” and
the several subsequent acts in addition there-
to. and ameuditory thereof, have associated,
and do hereby associate ourselves together as
a body politic and corporate, and the follow-
ing are the articles of‘ our agreement and as-
sociation:
Anricnll 1. The name of said Corporation
shall be “ Redding Manufacturing Company.”
Aarlcni-i 2. The Capital Stock of said Cor-
oratiou shall be Twenty-three thousand dol-
ars, divided into nine hundred and twenty
shares.
Au none 3. The said Corporation is estab-
lished for the following purposes, viz.—To
manufacture Pins, Hooks and Eyes, and oth-
er articles made in whole or part of Brass,
German Silver, Iron or other metal, and to
engage in buyin , selling, &c., in any kind of
goods, wares, merchandise, and materialQuec-
essary and convenient for the prosecution of
said business, and generally to do all acts con-
nected with and incidental to said business,
or the prosecution and management of the
same.
ARTICLE 4. The Statute Law of the State of
Connecticut aforesaid, entitled of Joint Stock
Corporations, and the several subsequent acts
additional thereto, and ainenditory thereof,
are hereby particularly referred to and made
part of these Articles, and the said Corpora-
tion hereby established and organized under
and pursuant to said Statute and Acts, shall
have all the power, and proceed according to
the regulations described and specified therein.
AaricLn 5. Each subscriber to these Articles
agree to take the number of Shares ailnexed
to his name, of’ the Capital Stock of said Cor-
poration, each share to be twenty-five dollars
as aforesaid, and to be paid for by installments
as the Directors of said Corporation shall call
in the same.-
Aarlcnn 6. The said Corporation is estab-
lished and located in the town of Redding,
County of Fairfield, and State of Connecticut.

HE subscriber desires to call me attention
of the citizens of the Borough to the sub-
ject of the introduction of
Gas ‘Light in Norwalk.
This economical and beautiful light will soon
be in readiness to be introduced into our
DWELLING3. CHURCHES. STORE
&c., and its acknowledged superiority over
every other artificial light, in regard to its
Safety, Cleanliness, or its Economy, is well
understood, and is certain to be very exten-
sively adopted. Every permanent resident
along the Gas Mains, if he consults his inter-
ests, will avail himself of' it.
To such of our citizens as have not yet giv-
en me their orders for their Gas Fitting, I
would say that I have not a Capable and

But that I give all such calls my own person-
al attention. Having been for many years
engaged in this business, and from a long ex-
perience in Steam Pipe Fitting, those who fa-
vor me with their orders, will not only have
the very considerable advantage of a thorough
practical Gas Fitter who has made his busi-
ness his study for the best part of his life, and
does his work himself, but the work is warran-
ted to be much better done than that executed
by itinerant workmen, and I pledge myself to
do it at from 20 to 30 per cent. less than
than their scale of prices.
I desire to call attention to the fact that
simply daubing Gas Pipes together with
Sealing Wax does not constitute Gas Fit-
ting, as there are many other considerations
to be thought of, in order to insure an uninter-
rupted supply of Gas, one of which is that
your pipes be connected with those running
from the Gas House!
As all pipes put in by me are thoroughly
TESTED AND WARRANTED.
No apprehensions need be felt about leaky
Pipes.
