periment. Now the demand for it nearly
equals the consumption of all other hair dyes
in existence. The sale for the first 4 months
of this year has been six times larger than du-
ring the some months of 1855. This shows
that even ovcrpnffed nostrums cannot check
the progress of an article of transceudant mer-

have for many months reqiiired- more of the
Dye than the proprietor was able to furnish.

sure to be regretted, when due preparation has

cause of the vast success of the Excelsior Dye,

applied with less trouble, and in a shorter
time. It does not burn the hair, or discolor
