ent debtor of' N orwalk, in said District
assigned in trust for the benefit of his credit-
ors under and pursuant to the Statute law of
this State entitled “ An Actfor the relief of
Insolvent Debtors and for the more equal dis-
tribution of their effects among their Credit-
ors,” passed A. D. 1853.
Upon the application of said Hiram W.
Gorhom, showing to this Court that he has
fully complied with all the provisions and re-
quirements of said act incumbent on him to do
and perform in order to be entitled to have the
oath or affirmation provided in the 9th Section
of said Act administered to him, that he may
be entitled to the benefits and privileges pro-
vided in the tenth Section of said Act, and
that be has not in any way or manner done or
performed any act or thing contrary to the
provisions of said act, or which should hinder
or prevent him from being entitled to the
aforesaid benefits and privileges; and praying
this court to appoint a time and place when
and where a hearing and enquiry shall be had
before said court as to the truth of the allega-
tions aforcsaid, and the oath or afilrmation
provided in the 9th Section of said Act he by
him made and submitted.
Therefore this court ~'doth order that Satur-
day the 6th day of January, 1855, at 9 o’clock
forcnoon, at the Probate Ofiice in Norwalk, in
said District, be appointed for the hearing and
enquiry aforesaid. and the administering the
oath or afiirmation aforesaid pursuant to the
act aforesaid, and directs thct notice be given
by advcrtistng in a weekly newspaper printed
in Fairfield County, and by posting a notice
thereof on the sign post in said Norwalk near-
est the place where said debtor dwells, at least
two weeks before said 6th day of January.
