ants of the Town of Wilton, legally warned and
held at the Town Housc,in said Wilton, on the
31st Day of July I854.

Voted. That. any inhabitant’ of said town
may have the privilege of allowing one head
of neat cattle to go at large on the highways
and commons thereof.

Voted, That any inhabitant of said town
may have the privilege of allowing six sheep

and commons thereof.

Voted, That swine be allowed to go at large
on the highways and commons in said town.
provided all over three months old are well
rung in the nose.

Voted, That if any cattle, sheep, or swine,
are found going at large on the highways and
commons, in said town, except as _hcrcin per-
mitted. they are liable to be Impounded, and
the penalty for each creature aforesaid so im-
pounded. shall be twclvc cents, but if the hay-
ward informs the owner thereof, before ini-
poundiug he may reilecm them by paying six
cents per head.

Voted. That the foregoing By-Law be pub-
lislicit four weeks successively in the Norwalk
Gazette, a. newspaper published at Norivalk in
the County of Fairficld, and then to become a

the Story, Zuleika, the Circassian Slave, pm--
chased at Constantinople, educated and married
by the reckless, yet chivalric, Seymour—the
commander of the Albatross, is simply the nar-
ration of a fact: painted. from the life, and all
the numerous characters portrayed throughout
the story are vividly and graphically drawn.
The publishers have already received orders
for the whole of the edition it was originally
their intention to publish ; consequently they
have been obliged largely to increase it ; and
they respectfully request that all orders may
be sent in immediately.
They confidently expect that the work will
create as much interest as any work of fiction
that has of late years emanated from the press.

“ Uncle Tom’s Cabin,’ ’ works relating to slave-
