The following is, I believe, an impar-
tial statenieuts of the facts of the pres-
ent case. A few days since, a young ,
man from a iieighhoring town was down i
to your "city” and thought that it would
be an interesting as well as a ne‘.v'tliirig
to him to return on the cars, but, (as he
expressediin) spending so niticli time
" lemonading around with the girls" that
when he came i.o the Station, the rail-
road was gone," and he had to wait for
the nexttrain. VVliile waiting; he found
a friend going to the same place and re
solved to treat him with a ride also. He
says he went into the office bouglit two
tickets and on the arrival of the cars took
a sent some little distance from his
friend. In due course of time the con-
ductor catne to the friend and asked for
his ticket. Ile poiiited to the young
man and says, " he has tickets for us
both." The conductor then went to
him and asked for both tickets. The
young man with considerable indigna-
tion said, I bought the tickets and paid
for them and they are mine, They are
my property and I shall not give them
up. The conductor after spending con»
siderable time with him trying to ‘make
him understand the railroad method of
doing business, and that he must give up
the tickets concluded that, as he did not
show the tickets that he had none, and
that it was a coiitrived plan, to evade
paying, stopped the cars and put him
out with but little ceremony.
The aggrieved party intends to insult
:i iioforiottsly public, and eternally at
law, about the matter, and will, without
/do.ub_t,.have justice done hint.
‘Now if railroad officers can commit
