Free Schools.
Our mention has been called to the subject of Free
s°h°°h~ 5}’ One who is strongly in favor of the adoption
of th1I‘mode of Education in this State. We certainly
can see no reason why such a system would not be
*8-light with the same good results in Connecticut, as in
Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and other State,
W9 H8 decidedly favorable to such an application of the
Public moneys and would be glad to see the system in.

territory to which he goes. He leaves with the best
wishes of the craft of Connecticut, attending him. We
expect soon to see him in “Congress Halls,” an honored
