Mr. Catlin, introduced into the House. last
week, a bill which was referreil to the judicia-
ry committee, the object. of which is to cut off
the advertising of the Laws passed at the
present session of the Legislature, in the sev-
eral newspapers of this State, and‘in lieu
thereof to liave the State procure 520.000 prin-
ted off in one batch. \Ve understand that the
mover of the bill tho't. that a few dollors might.
be saved by this oporation—tli-.it. 20,000 copies
could be printed on one sheet for $1 100,whicli
‘is but little less than the whole cost for publish-
ing tlle”lt1\VS in all tlte papers in Connecticut
last year.
