I feel it a duty to state, for the benefit of the
public, the iistonisliing cure of myself, which is
as follows :——-For the last twenty years I have
been troubled with Rlieuinatisni; I could not
walk without canes or crutches. The pain was
excruciating, so much so that I could not sleep
niglits. The disease finally settled in my hip
joint; the thigh became elongated or pushed out
ofits socket, by the pain and intl:unaI:io:i:_ the
cords became contracted so as to throw my knee
forward, and drew my foot backward, so the
points of my toes barely touched the ground when
I walked. My health was so much impaired,
I made up my mind that the disease was so
firmly seated, that nothing could benefit. me; I
had tried the very best physicians.and all oflzlie
sure cures without relief. I was advised by a
friend to try

Vv’hich I consented to without faith; butbefore
1 had used one bottle, I found relief-—it reduced
the inllamation, and extracted the pain. I con-

sided, and, in fact, I am perfectly well. I walk

humble testimony. I am now fifty six years of
age, and have been afflicted with Rlieuxnatisiii
for the last ten years. In April last I caught a
very severe cold, which im,-i'eased my rlicuiiialic
pains, so that I was confined t:o the house. I
employed my family physician, who attended
me until t.lie first of May, without releiving me
iit all. In fact I grew worse. and so much so. I
was confined to my bed. I continued in this
way for nearly two months, snll'oi'ing every
thing but deatli—nnable to sleep, raise my arms,
or move, witlioiit suffering the most. excrutiatiu,r_r
pain. A friend of iiiiiio called upon me, who
had been cured with
ROAKE’S IODINE LINIMENT,
in-luced me to try it, which I did. The first ap-
plication gave me relief. I continued to apply
it accordingto directions, and in twelve hours
was completely relieved from pain. I continued
to use it until I had used two bottles, which of-
fected a perfect cure.

mechanical business. I would not be without it
u-iider any consideration, and advise all those
who are thus afflicted to try it, knowing it to be
