The Case of Nocl_i/ne and W§fe.—-which has
been pending for some time before one oftlie N.
Y.,Courts, was so far decided last week, as to
substantiate the charges of infidelity, on his part,
bya verdict rendered to that effect. The di-
vorce, and the amount of alimony will be deci-
ded upon by the Chancellor after five days——
provided no exceptions are taken. ‘

ed communication for the Gazette, picked up, as
was represented, on South Norwalk avenue.
The article is a well-meaning one. on the subject
of Temperance, mid purports to have been writ-
(an by a retired ruin-seller, and reformed ruin-
driakor. It urges upon all, the wholesome and
safe recourse to the pledge. The writer, it is
evident, is unaccustoiiied to writing for publica-
tion.

Court, held in Dnnbury in October last.
authorizins me to sell the saw-mill,together with
about three-fourths of an acre of land. and the
water privilagcs; situated in the town of W'ilton.
Fairfield County, at Hop Meadow so‘ called, be-
ing the property in dispute between Shubaol
\Varren of Ridgcfield in said county and John
Lockwood of Lewisborough, state of N ow-York.
In pursuance of said decree I hereby give no-
tice that I will sell said property on the pram-
I ises to the highest bidder. on Saturday the 5th
day of December 1846, at one o'clock afternoon.
