Pittsburg Ago, states that a fire broke out
in it stable, which spread very rapidly, and
destroyed from siatity to seventy /i.ouscs~.—
They were mainly occupied by laboring
men,- many of whom had removed thither
after having b'ecn'burned out by the_ for-
mer conflagrati'on'.q The entire loss is sta-
ted at between $30,000 and $40,000 ;,and
some 500 persons have been rendered
houseless.
The Age says that the building destroy-
ed were all situated upon the “O’Harra Es-
tate,” now Mrs. Schinley’s, (the lady of
Capt. Schinley, of the British Army, and
daughter of Wm. Croglian, Esq., of Pitts-
burg, an estate covering about seventeen
acres of that portion of the city, about
three acres of which were occupied by the
buildings just destroyed‘ _
