to it new section requesting the Prr-side-nt to
give notice to Great Britain ofthe termina-
tioii ofthe joint occupancy.
The cointitittee also agreed to an amend-
ment declaring that nothing in this Act
shall be construed to interfere with the rights
of Great Britain under the 3d article ofthe
Treaty of 1837, until the termin.t.iion of
three months after giving the above notice.
Another amendment was adopted rela-
tive to the righlsofthe Indian tribes to the
lands which tlieubill grants to settlers.
