Dear Sir.—lri answer to your enquiries re-
specting the health ofmy nieces, and the opera-
tion aiid effects of Dr. Baiining's Patent Lace, I
can say they came. from the northern part of
the State of New York to Connecticut in June
184-2. and visited the sea shore. in hopestlie sea
air and bathing in salt water would restoretlieir
health. After spending four or five weeks at
the sea shore without finding relief tlicy were
broiiglit to my house utterly unable to stand ()l
walk. \Vc procured the best medical aid at
New Haven aiitl this place for fotir or five
months. They had tised various kinds of
abdomina' supporters and in one case there was
some iniprovemtmt, btit in the other no good
effect was produced. In the fall Isaw Dr. Ban-
ning’s Patent Laces in New York, and I imme-
diately procurred two of tltem, from the use of
which in one case almost immediately relief
was tilllirded; she continued to gain strength.
and is now to all appearance. entirely recov-
ered. The other, after using the Lace for sev-
eral weeks began slowly to recover. and is now
able to ride, antl has recently rode seventeeri
miles in a wagon in three hours; aritl this after
a sickness aritl confinement for a great portion
of the time to her room 5.: bed for about ten years.
\Vith a knowledge of these facts, and of sev-
eral other similar cases, who have almost en
tirely recovered their health by the use of Dr.
Baoniog's Patent Lace, I can cheerfully give
my testimony in favor ofthe utility of this in-
strument ; and to use their own words, the worth
ofPatent Laces cannot be told.

Dear Sir,——-In answer to your enquiries re-
specting the benefit of Dr. Banuing’s Lace, de-
rived by Mrs. Green from its use,] can say she
has been for seven years in a very feeble state,
owing to a variety of complaints to which fe-
males are sub_ject—slie was unable to ride or
walk without much suffering nearly the whole
time, anrl was for some time confined entirely
to her betl—in some measure she had lost the
use of her limbs, so much so that she could not
walk except on her toes. The first day the lace
was applied she was able to ride with ease a
mile or more, and her symptoms and health
have gradually improved, sothat she can go
about the house, up and down stairs, and hopes
that she will soon be well again.
