THE Petition of Urauy Whitlock against
Clark Whitlock. was filed in this Court
at the present term thereof, praying‘ for a bill
of Divorce forwilful absence for more than
three years as per petition on file may appear.
It appears to this Court that the respondent
resides out of this State in parts unknown, and
that he cannot be served with actual notice.
It is therefore ordered that said petition be
continued" to the next term of this Court, to be
holden at Danbury within and for said Fairfield
county. on the 1st Tuesday of October next,
acthe pendency ofs’d petition be published in the
Danbury Times, a newspaper printed at Dam
bury, and in the Norwalk Gazette, a newspa-
per printed at Norwalk in said county, six
weeks successively immediately after the rising
of this court, and that a compliance of this order

Sir,——In answer to your erquiry respecting
my case, I will merely say. that I have been

when in the fall of ’39, I abandoned business,
and Iiave not done any thing since. I suppose

ly raising blood, cotighingvery hard and expcc
torating profusely, deriving no benefit from my

that my (Mac was hopeless. La.-t winter my
brother told me he had heard a good account of
Dr. Bannirig’s Lace in such cases, and was
anxious that I should try it : accordingly I pro-
curred one front you, and since I began to wear
it my breathing, \‘\'IlI(.‘Il was very short and
laborious, has become easy and natural; the
pain and fluttering or palpitaiion of the heart
has subsided ; cough and expectoration greatly
lessened. my limbs which were exceedingly
painful have become useful, so that I can walk
couifortably. I am able to, shave myself with
comfort, which for many years I have not been
able to do. The piles which have troubled me
for nine years, are nearly eradicated. I work
some in the gartlen. and am able ‘o ride 4 miles
at once with pleasure and benefit.

Dear Sir,—In answer to your enquiries re-
specting the health of my nieces, and the opera-
tion and ellects of Dr. Banning's Patent Lace, I
can say they came from the northern part of
the State of New York to Connecticut in June
1842, and visited the sea shore, in hopestlie sea
air and bathing in salt water would restoretbeir
health. After spending four or five weeks at
the sea shore without finding relief they were
brought to my house. utterly unable to stand oi
walk. \Vc procured the best medical aid at
New Haven and this place for four or five
ttionths. They had used various kinds of
abdomina' supporters and in one case lliere was
sortie improveinent, but in the other no good
‘effect was produced. In the fall Isaw Dr. Ban-
uing’s Patent Laces in New York, and I imme-
diately procurred two of them, from the use of
which in one case almost immediately relief
was iifforded ; she (‘()_nlIn'de(I to gain strength.
and is now to all appearance, entirely recov-
ered. The other, after using the Lace for sev-
eral weeks began slowly to recover. and is now
able to ride. and has recently rode seventeen
miles in a wagon in three hours; and this after
a sickness and confinement for a great portion
ofthe time to her room at bed for about lcriyears.
With a knowledge of these facts, and olsev—
eral other similar cases, who have almost en
tirely recovered their health by the use of Dr.
Banriing's Patent Lace, I can cheerfully give
my testimony in favor ofthe utility of this in-
strument ; and to use their own words, the worili
ofPatent Laces cannot be told.

Dear Sir,—Iit answer to your enquiries re-
specting the benefit of Dr. I3anriing’s Lace, de-
rived by Mrs. Green from its use.] can say she
has been for seven years in a very feeble state,
owing to a variety of complaints to which fe-
males are subject—she was unable to ride or
walk without much siiH'erir.g nearly the whole
time, and was for some time confined entirely
to her betl—in some measure she had lost the
use of her limbs, so much so that she could not
walk except on her toes. The first day the lace
was applied she was able to ride with ease a
iuile or more, and her symptoms and health
have gradually improved, so that she can go
about the house, up and down stairs, and hopes
that she will soon be well again.
