H E subscribers have on hand a large sup-
ply of material for Tombstones and tnontt-
ments, and are desirous of serving the public in
their line on terms tnore favorable than they
have been able to do heretofore, and at a con-
siderable reduction frotn the prices demanded
by itinerant dealers rotn other sections. As
no trifling expense attends the cormnou mode
ofseekiug out jobs, they now offer to supply
orders left at their yard, at prices at leas fifteen
or twenty per cent. less than they have been
able to allbrcl the same quality of work in times
past. That this is not mere assertion, the
public are invited to call and ascertain for
themselves. Muclt deception has been prac-
ticetl upon those ttuacquainlcd with the qualities
of marble and the diflercnt grades of work-
manship by the class of itinerants alluded to.
The truth of this is plain to the most super-
ficial observer by a comparison of the stones
introduced from abroad with those which have
been erected by the subscribers. It is a fact
that the prices paid by some members ofour
't:on1munity to foreign dealers have ranged
considerably above those for which the under-
signed have been in the habit of furnislting the
same article. Let those who wish to pur-
chase, at leasttest the truth of these assertions
and give their patronage where economy sug-
