PATENT Bee Ilive.-—'l‘he attention
of the public is called to ll new and valu
able improvement in the constrtiction of Bee
Hives for which the subscriber has secured a
patent. This hive is constructed with a view
to the preservation ofthe bees from that de-
siructive and deadly enemy. the worm,ao end
which it is believed has never before been frilly
accomplished. It is composed ofseveral shift-
ing compartments or drawers. to either or any
number of which the bees may be confined at
pleasure, and on either becoming filled with
honey it can be taken out and the honey remov
ed withont injury to or from the bees. The
compartments are made with ohliqtie bottoms
with an apperture ranging through each from
the top to the bottom. This leaves no lodgement
for the worm except a receptacle at the bottom
wbicli is filled with ashes. which in a short time
deprives him of life. _This hive is believed to
be superior to any other which has been intro-
duced. and is sold at the low price of $4 for an
individual right and hive.
The best evidence ofthe merits “of the hive
is the general approbation which it meets with
wherever intrniliiced. During the short time
since the patent was sectimd. the subscriber
has put tip some 30 or 40 in the"town of Red
ding. where persons wishing to oblaiii informa-

at Danbury, the first at which it has been ex-
