of the public is called to a new and valu
able improvement in the construction of Bee
Hives for which the subscriber has sccnretl a
patent. This hive is constructed with a view
to the preservation ufthe bees from that de-
structive and tleatlly enemy. the worm,an end
whicli it is believed has never before been fully
accomplished. It is composed ofscveral Sllifl‘
lug compartments or drawers, to either or any
number of which the bees may be confined at
pleasure, and on either becoming filled with
honey it can be taken out and the honey rernov
ed without irzjury to or from the bees. The.
compartments are made with oblique bottoms
with an apperture ranging through ‘each fruit)
the top to the bottom. This leaves no lodgeriient
for llie worm except a receptacle at the bottom
which is filled with aslies. which in a short. time
deprives him of life. This hive is believed to
be superior to any other which has been intro-
duced. and is sold at the low price of $4 for an
individual right and hive.
