New York, having destroyed most of the French goods in
the city. such asFrencli inerinoes, silks of every description, meri-
ho and thibet wool shawls. Sic. so that we have every reason to be-
lieve, that this circumstance, to gether with thr anticipated war
with France, will cause such goods to be very high and scarce. The
