CLOTHING AND DYEING.
LARGE quaiitity of Wool just rec’d, and

form the ptiblic,that he still pursues the Cloth-
ing and Dyeing business, and is now ready to
receive any orders his customers may see fit
to send liitn. They are informed that he
is now able to furnish them with the best In-
digo Blue and Scarlet, upon wool, yarn or
cloth, and every other colour that may be cal-
led for. Cloth will be dyed and dressed thro’
the season, in a manner a little superior to
what has ever been done before. Indigo blue,
Red,-and Black, on Cotton yarn, or cotton
goods ofany kind. Indigo Blue and Black,
on Linen and Tow yarn. Silk and Crape
gowns, and goods of every name, will be done
according to order and short notice. Direc-
tions will be given for preparing and manu-
facturing the ingrain Carpets, as also the dye-
ing of yarn suitable for that kind of goods.—

DRUGS AND MEDICINES.
SO long as the human system continues to
be afflicted with various diseases, so long
every community ought to be supplied with
those articles best calculated to relieve them.
It may be remarked also that those remedies
wlpch are best calculated for the reliefof vari-
ous complaints are now well understood, and
each article is or otight to be applied to the
specific purpose for which it seems by its
medical property to be designed. With a view
to benefit the public in the accomplishment of
the above desirable objects (not forgetting him-
self by the by)tlie subscriber offers for sale
a general assortment of Medicine, recently
selected in New York, and warranted of the
very best quality, at his stand a few doors east
of the Bridge. Physicians and fitniilies cati
have almost any forms or compounds ofined-
icines put up at the shortest notice and in the
best manner. The subscriber will endeavottr

ANDERSON’S COUGH DROPS, AND
PECTORAL POWDER.
Recommendations.—This is to certify that
I the subscriber ltad been afilicted with the
Asthma for twenty years, and the paroxysms
were often so violent as nearly to deprive me
of breath. During one ofthe most violentt'e.-
turns oftlte Asthma,I was advised to try ‘An-
derson’s Cough Drops,’ and I did so, and, to
my surprise, I was very soon entirely relieved,
and felt no more of the Complaint for six
months. Upon a return ofa paroxysm ofthe
Asthttia, I have made use of the same mode-
ciiie and it has invariably given me relief. As
it respects the Asthma, and its attendant
symptoms, difficulty of breathing, &I.c. I con-
sider ‘ Anderson’s Cough Drops’ a remedy, in
praise of whicli too much cannot be said. I
furtlter certify, that my son in law had for
soiiie time been supposed to be past recovery
ofa consumptive complaint, when I advised
him to make a trial of ‘ Anderson’s Cough
Drops,’ and from the use ofthem, he has so
far recovered his health as to be again able to
attend to his hiisitiess.

Having made use ofAndersoti’sConghDrops
in my family, and having been requested to
express nty opinion of their efficacy in the
ctirc of coughs, I hereby certify, that a dangli-
ter ofinine was severely afilicted with a cotigh
for about a year previous to the sutniner of
1820, during which time she was more or less
attended by several physicians ; but, appear-
ing to obtain no relief, her life was despaired
of. Being informed ofthe great cures effect-
ed by Anderson’s Cough Drops, I was induced
to make use ofa bottle, and in the course of
one week only she was greatly relieved of her
complaints. After rising two bottles she eti-
tirely recovered, and now enjoys as good
health as ever. From my own experience
thercforc,I have no hestitatiouin recommend-
ing these Drops to the public.

PON the petition ofLewis ./1mold,ofWil-
ton, in said Cotinty, shewing that he is
the Assigneeofa certain notc executed on the
10th. day of May, A. D. 1817, by Joseph Rock-
well, for Thirteen Hundred and Fifty Dollars,
payable to Isaac flrnold, six years from date,
the payment of which was, on the date there-
ofsecured by the conveyance by mortage deed
of certain real estate situated in Norwalk, in
Lewis ARNOLD,
the county of Fairfield, praying the foreclos- .
ure of said mortgaged estate, as per petition
on file, dated the 10th day ofSeptember,1823

well, James Rockwell, Dorinda Rockwell,
George Rockwell, Delauson Rockwell, Johli
Rockwell, Sainttel Rockwell, Giles H. Swan,
and Jane, husband and wife, all oftlte town of
Sharon, cotutty ofRi«.-liland, and State of O-
hio, Justus R. Rockwcll, of Lenox, county of
Berkshire, and state of Massacliusctts, and
George Frederick Hyatt, of Danby, in the
state ofNew-York, Resporidetits, have receiv-
ed no actual notice of the pendeiicy of said
petition—-'I‘hereupon it is ordered, that said
petition be continued to the next session of
this Court, to be liolden at Fairfield, within
and for said County ofFairfield, on the last
Tuesday of December, A. D. 1823, and that
the Respondents herein named be notified of
the same by the publication ofthis order in the
Nprwalk Gazette, printed at Not-walk, in said
County of FZ1ll'fi(:‘l(l, three weeks successively,
at least six weeks before said last Tuesday of
December, 1S'23,artd the transmission by mail,
ofsaiid newspapers, containing said order, on
the days oftheii several -publication, to each

AKEN by virtue of one state and one
town Vtlarraiit, on list 1320, and one state
and one towit Warrant, on list 1821, so mtich
ofthe Real Estate of Joseph Weeks and Jo-
seph Chcesmam, as will pay their taxes on
said lists, with incidental charges of levying
and selling the same. Also, Taken, by virtue
ofone state and one town warrant, so much
of the Estate of Thomas Goold as will pay
his taxes on lists 1820 and l8~2l, with inci-
dental charges oflevyingand scllingthe same.
Also, Taken by virtue of one state and one
town warrant on list 1320, and one state and
one town warrant, on list 18%], so much of
the Real Estate of Samuel Besscy,as willpay
his taxes on said lists, with incidental charges
oflevying and selling the same. The above
property is to he sold. at the sign—post in
Norwalk, at 92 o’clock, I’. M. the first Monday
of December next, as the law in such cases
has made and provided. _
