of VVarren, went ashore near Portsmottth harbor
a few days since, and was entirely lost. The pas-

crew from fort Constitution. Several boats had
gone out for the purpose of affording relief to the
sufferers, but it was deemed impracticable to pro-

ofthc wreck, which the fury of the waves was
dashing to pieces. In this situation M’Auley put
the question to his boat’s crew--‘ shall we save

tunately succeerled in saving seven fellow crea-

Our readers will recollect that we published
a short time since the particulars of a piracy
committed by the crew of the ship Kate, on her
voyage from Berbice to Halifax, and their subse-
quent apprehension and confinement at Guada-
loupe. A schr. which arrived at St. Vincents on

the boat in which the captain, his wife, and a pas-
