one, shall be a quorum ; and his said corporatlori,
at their annual Ineetlngs, shall have power us
choose a president, vice-presidents, managers,
and such other ofiicers, as to them shall appeait
necessary; which oflicers, shall cohtittue in ofiicé
one year, and until others are chosen in the“-
room‘: and all oilicers so chosen shall be undef

whenever any person, who now is, or ltereafter
shall be, a member of said Aqueduct Company,
shall sell and convey any house, store, or" lot of
land, which is supplied with water from said A-
queduct. his right or shares in said Aqueduct,
attached to such house, store or lot of land, shall
he‘ transferred by such conveyztnce, to the purcha-
ser thereof, wbo shall thercby become liable to
pay all taxes that shall be assessed on the same,
and ‘shall be a member of said company, and enti-
tled to all the rights and privileges of the same,
in as ample a manner as an original proprietor".
And that all taxes which shall ltereafter he law-
fully assessed upon the rights" or shares in said
Aqueduct,. shall be charged upon, and be a lien
upon the houses and stores, and the land on which
they stand, to which such rights or shares are at--
tached, for the term of twelve motttlts after such
tax‘: or taxes respectively shall become due, not-
withstanding a subsequent assignment of the
same ; and said Aqueduct Company are hereby
empowered to enfot‘ce the collection and payment
of such taxes. by the sale ‘of so much of such hou-
ses, stores, and land respectively, as may be ne-
ccssary, in such manner as they shall think prop-
er to prescribe. _
§2. ./Ind be it fur:/zer enacted, That wltcncver
any member of said Aqueduct Company shall
die, his heirs or devisees, who shall have legal
right tothe house, store, or land on which they
stand, as aforesaid, to which the tight or share
hers ofisuch company, entitled to all the privile-
ges, and subject to all the liabilities of an original
proprietor. '
