Grand Island.——'l'he Legislature of New-York
have rejected, by a large majority. the bill grant-
ing Grand island to Mordecai M. Noah.
The bill incorporating the State Board of Ag-
riculture, passed the House of Assembly on Sat-
urday last, in committee of the \Vl‘l-')l'.‘. A clause
was added, containing the grant of S5 1 0..O0O,which
was matte in the act for the encouragcnient of A 5;-
riculture, and there limited to two years," for the
