to send the razor into prison, but sent him a bar-
ber. While the barber was shaving him, D39‘
iels observed to him, smiling, that be supposed
the reason why the razor was not sent him, was

‘should not wait for a razor, as "there are many

produced the letter of Mr. Chadwick, of Slirews-
bury, N, J. published in the Evening Post of the
min inst. -VVe now feel a pleasure in announ-
cing, that the information contained in that letter I
is correct, that the said Russel Colvin is now not
only-alive, but arrived in‘ this city last evening.
Mr. Colvin, it seems, came to the house of VVm.
Polhemus, in Dover, Monmouth county, ‘N. J.
in March or April, 1813, in a ‘partial state of de-
rangement, and has continued to reside there ev-
er’since ;‘ and in consequence of the letter of Mr.
Chadwick, he has now been brought to this city,
by a Mr. VVhelpley, who was well -acquainted
with Mr. Colvin .and family, in Vermont.
