ment in a crowded -house, or a’ warm atmosphere,
after a fatiguing walk, or a long ride, a pinch or
two of this snufi‘ will by its grateful and enliven

together with a sample of it, I would remark, that
although I have found no reason for chaiiging my
well known opinion of the pernicious effects of
the inordinate use of tobacco, in any form, I nev-
ertheless cannot perceive the same objection to

their qualities. Those liable to nervous and oth-
er head-aches well know that fits of these dis-
tressing affections, most commonly subside on a
spontaneous sneezing towards night, ‘and if this
relief can be expedited byda sternutatory, I should
give the preference to your snuff over that of
powdered tobacco, or even the imported Ce/z/ialia
3.71197} the ingredients of which are unknown to
