Won1en’s ware, will be dyed and finished for from
I2 to 14 cents per yard. Indigo Blue for 50 cents
per yard.
The subscribers will dye Cloth Navy Blue, or
Logwood Blue, and warrant it to be as lasting
and as permanent a colour as Indigo Blue.

effectually remove ‘all obstructionsibefore morn-
ing. All those troubled w_ith the‘ hypochondria
or vapors, will find in this chemical preparation,
a complete antidote. During a tedious confine‘-‘
ment in a crowded house, or a warm atmosphere,
after a fatiguing walk, or a long ride, a pinch or
two of this snuff will by its grateful and enlivene-
ing qualities, richly repay the purchaser the
trouble of constantly having it in his pocket, and
answer all the purposes of a smelling bottle.--u
From its great antiputrescent qualities, no com-
‘ position is better qualified to resist contagion ; the
[use of it therefore is indispensable for all those
who watch with, or visit the sick. ‘All sedentary
hnd studious persons of either sex, will find by its
occasional use, a cheap and cheering relief from
that lassitude which invariably __‘accompanies a
long sitting, or much reading. This snuff, the
fragrance of which is derived altogether from the
natural flavor of the ‘principal articles of which it
isfcoinposed, is well stopt in a handsome square
bottle, made expressly for the purpose, and which
will be found to unite all the advantages of a snuff
Box. .

Sz'r—In answer to your letter containing an en-
umeration of the articles composing your snuff,
together with a sample ofit, l would remark, that
although Iyhave found no ieason for changing my
well known opinion of the pernicious effects of
the inordinate useof tobacco, in any form, I.nev-
ertheless cannot perceive the same objection to
yours. The articles are certainly innocent in
their qualities. Those liable to nervous and oth-
er head-aches well know that fits of these dis-
tressing affections, most commonly subside on a
spontaneous sneezing towards night, and if this
relief can be expedited by a sternutatory, I should
give, the preference to your snuff over that of
powdered tobacco, or even the imported Ccyzfzalic
Snufi; the ingredients of which are unknown to
us. With this view I have used your composi-
